Slainte Therapeutic Massage, LLC

Your first visit will be an assessment and formulating a plan based on the assessment and your goals. Then, depending on the remaining time, bodywork will be initiated. The main technique performed, NMT, utilizes trigger point release of the soft tissues (muscles, tendons and connective tissue) to balance the body's postural distortions by engaging the nervous system. NMT can be part of a comprehensive program or an adjunct to other health care approaches or it may be part of a targeted approach designed to focus on specific areas of pain.
Follow up sessions will be specific to our plan and on the previous session’s results. Because each situation is unique and the duration of pain(chronic) is varied to each individual’s experience, 3 sessions are recommended to determine if we are getting an effective and lasting outcome. Then we will re-assess and modify our plan if needed.

*Please Note: Neuromuscular Therapy can be performed with the client completely clothed and no medium(lotion or oil) is used. Please wear comfortable clothing, such as, what one would wear to stretch or do exercise.*

Neuromuscular Therapy Follow Up

Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. Using oil or lotion, the therapist will massage the client utilizing the 5 basic strokes of  massage at an appropriate intensity that suits the client's comfort. 

Swedish massage has many benefits that contribute to the client's overall feeling of well-being. By increasing circulation and assisting with returning blood flow to the heart, massage helps to increase oxygen and nutrient uptake throughout the body while it also increases the body's efficiency to eliminate waste and toxins. Because massage includes stretching of fascia, range of motion can be improved which can help relieve painful muscles and joints and reduce stress throughout the body.

Your customized massage will begin with approximately, a 5 minute assessment, based on what your concerns and goals are for this particular session, we will determine our strategy. A combination of techniques may by applied, such as: Trigger Point Release(Tp), Myofascial Therapies(MFT), Deep Tissue, Swedish, and Acupressure. Some other modalities, such as aromatherapy, cryotherapy and hot packs may also be incorporated into your session in order to achieve the most effective therapeutic session possible for you.
